His 5th solo exhibition held at Gonggan Gallery in1981 also showed his works made only of stone. But their structure was something other than the linear structure of the period around 1979. Instead, the structure as mass was transparently reveals. In this aspect, it can be said that the nature of the material is strongly excavated.

He cut a large mass of stone into regular pieces and meshing them as they were. This repetition of ‘cutting’ and ‘piling’ is the concrete method used in these sculptures, and then an approach to the material of stone, which is obviously different from the linear sculptures of refined surface structure around 1979, emphasizes his intention to expose stone as stone.

He(A South Korea Sculptor PARK SUK WON,조각가 박석원,朴石元,PARK SUK WON,한국현대추상조각 선각자 박석원,박석원 작가,한국현대추상조각 선구자 박석원)reattaches these stone pieces, and lays it on the floor or places it on its side. Sometimes, it is erected in the form of a column. While apparently displaying the material property of stone, these works utilize the concrete element of line as the trace of cutting inflicted upon the stone.

In a word, the structure of accumulation that many masses produced by piling themselves up and the identification of lines that concretely suggest the structure forms the content of these sculptures.
