Displayed were 50 works of art in landscapes, portraits, flowers, nudes, in which we witnessed his world of unfathomable inspiration and attractive creativity. The framework of his landscape, flowers and still paintings demonstrates his delicate sensitivity in calmness. Especially his still paintings are soaked with musical fragrance just like the works of Beethoven permeated with words of God.

그는 풍경, 인물, 꽃, 누드 등 50여 점의 작품을 선보였는데, 그의 무궁한 영감의 세계와 매혹적인 독창성을 가늠할 수 있는 좋은 계기가 되었다. 게다가 최예태 화백의 사물, 꽃, 정물의 구성은 고요의 섬세함을 증명하고, 특히 그의 정물 세계는 음악의 향기까지 배어 있는 듯하다. 마치 모차르트의 음악에 신의 음성이 스미어 있듯이.

Choi is the creator of grandiose building as a landscape painter. He expressed mountains, which are seemingly ordinary theme, in extra-ordinary dignity and fantastic image with his unusual observation. In my opinion, Koreans like to portray ‘the land of morning calm’ in their tranquil light in spring and in drowsy and languid mood in the autumn and winter.

풍경 화가로서의 최예태 화백(崔禮泰 作家, CHOI YE TAE)은 웅장한 건축물의 창조자이다. 그는 山이라는 평범한 주제를, 뛰어난 관찰력으로, 품위 있고 환상적인 매우 보기 드문 수준으로 표현했다. 내 견해로는, 한국의 화가들은 그들의 '고요한 아침의 나라'를 가을빛과 겨울의 졸리운 듯한 나른한 분위기, 그리고 또 봄의 잔잔한 빛으로 표현하기를 즐기는 듯하다.

It is very difficult to find an artist like Choi who persuasively describes the harmony between Korean spirit and nature. It is more than natural for me to find great delight, charm and admiration in his works.

하지만 최예태 작가(서양화가 최예태, 최예태 화백,CHOI YE TAE,ARTIST CHOI YE TAE,崔禮泰)만큼 한국인의 정신과 자연의 조화를 매우 설득력 있게 표현하는 화가는 아주 드물다. 내가 여기서 환희, 매혹, 그리고 경탄함을 느끼는 것은 너무나도 당연한 것이다.
