The concept I want to pursue artistically is korean sensibility. What is the Korean sensibility or aesthetic? It means the spirit and beauty of Korea and the philosophy of Koreans.

필자(서양화가 박동윤)가 예술적으로 달성하고자 하는 생각은 한국의 정서이다. 한국이 정서란 무엇인가? 이것은 한국의 정신, 한국의 미, 한국인의 철학을 의미한다.

What is the traditional beauty of Korea? The traditional Korean beauty is based on the Mother nature of Korea which has been continued to the present day.

전통적인 한국의 미란 무엇인가? 전통적인 한국의 정서는 한국의 자연에 바탕을 두고 오늘날까지 이어져오고 있는 정신세계일 것이다.

The earth, the sun, the moon, ancient structures, people, color, design, daily goods, wind, rain, and the world that has been laid from the past and the world that is laid around me in the present formed my world of art, I want to express these through my works. My work is intended to express the Korean traditional shapes in abstract forms.

대지, 해와 달, 고대건축물들, 그리고 사람들, 색깔, 디자인, 생활소품들, 바람과 비, 내 주변에 놓여져 왔고, 놓여진 많은 세계가 나의 예술세계를 형성하였고, 그것들이 작품으로 표현되길 바라고 있다. 내 작품의 조형적 디자인은 한국의 전통적 형상들을 추상적으로 간결하게 표현하는 것이다.
