The shedding light exhibition introduces Hur’s(ARTIST HUR JIN,許塡,허진 작가,한국화가 허진,HUR JIN,허진 교수,허진 화백,A Painter HUR JIN)critical perspective and visionary analysis of societal issues like reflective exploration, environment and ecology, emigration and settlement in the era of modern scientific civilization that has been driven to an extreme materialization through over 40 of his latest works.

As most heated-up topics in our current society,‘Dual fused animals & Utopia’and‘Ecological Circulation’censure the leap of faith on science with criticizing the possibility and limitation on genetic engineering, and offer the need of a visionary living for the symbiotic relationship between Mankind and Mother Nature.

This exhibition illustrates the installation work of ‘Nomads/Anti-nomads,’ that symbolically reflects a contemporary man’s struggle in the midst of this generation of scientism and materialization, and his continual pursuit of settlement and stability.

Installed on the first floor, this installation work shows the artist’s use of his grandfather’s ornamental rock as‘an objet,’in which his childhood memories and dreams are ingrained.
