Although he does not belong to anywhere exclusively, nothing is for him a matter of selection between one and the other.

He cannot abandon or evade, and the only exit is to overcome himself. To the artist, all things are objects of awe with timehonored tradition and tremendous authority. He has perhaps discovered himself to be an artist who is extremely tenderhearted and feeble who always longs for and dreams of something while wandering endlessly.

He has proved himself, tirelessly expressing his will to transcend. The artist identifies himself with those who are in agony, solitary and alienated in his scenes.

He alienates himself from anonymous beings that are finite and fragmented by overlapping them in diverse manners and portrays young animals with dreamy eyes longing for something.

He made another transition in 2011. Through the Heterogeneous Integration and Nomadic Animals series displayed at his 2012 exhibition, Hur highlights a swift horse and a ferocious tiger grown into orotund practitioners on a background of color planes and Chinese characters. He displays the horse and its leaping as the source of action and imagination to draw out the introspection of human subjects, gaining an insight into the relational net of disparate forces.
