For the last thirty years, to show this point of view of my works, I continuously titled my painting ‘CONTEMPLATION’. For me, contemplation is process that immanent eyes are looking at the outside world quietly and solemnly and looking for the universal truth of life through private memories.

And I believe, through this contemplation i can find my identity as an individual artist as well as Korean artist. I try to embody the genuine Korean identity by using traditional Korean rice paper and applying Chines ink and colors.
