Inspired by the news, the hosting leadership is planning to open a show room for exhibition, downtown Paris, sooner or later. This is a good news for industries concerned and artists dedicating to their works, in spite of difficult situations.

신문보도에 의하면 최근 한불수교 120주년을 기념하여 프랑스 파리에서 전시된 원주 한지가 현지인들로부터 좋은 반응을 얻었다고 한다. 이에 고무된 주최 측은 파리 시내에 조만간 전용매장을 열 계획이라고 하니 이와 관련된 업계나 그동안 어려운 환경 속에서 작업을 해온 한지 작가들에게는 낭보가 아닐 수 없다.

Given the recently-booming fever of Korean Wave, it leaves a noticeable impression that such climate is far from only artists of Korean paper. But, the fever emerging in Paris, is cited as being more significant in that Korean Paper has been very popular in Paris. This phenomenon gives the hope that the work of Korean Paper would get a good opportunity to be highlighted, in the future.

최근에 불고 있는 한류 열풍을 상기해 보더라도 유독 한지작가들에게만 이러한 분위기가 비껴지나간 듯 한 인상이 짙었는데, 이번 파리에서의 열풍은 그 대상이 ‘한지’였다는 점에서 보다 직접적인 관련이 있다. 즉, 장차 한지작업이 부각될 수 있는 호기가 조만간 찾아오리라는 희망을 갖게 해 주는 것이다.
