Reproduction or imagination? Which side am I on? Form and color, the essence of art.

그림 속에서 자아를 찾아가는 나의 작품세계는 기억과 상상 그리고 슬픔과 기쁨이 모티브가 된다. 화면 전체에 비형상적 이미지가 지배하고 있는 것은 내가 나타내고자 하는 감정과 내면세계의 표출이다.

My works, in which I search for myself in the painting, use memory, imagination, sorrow and joy as the theme. The dominance of the non-formative image in the entire canvas is the expression of the feelings and inner world that I wish to represent.

내가 바라보는 세상의 중심은 사랑이다. 사랑이 없는 세상은 무의미하다. 볼 수도 만질 수도 없는 사랑. 다만 느껴지는 것이다. 어떤 형태의 사랑이든 나의 작품에서는 형태와 색채로 표현되어 한 폭의 작품으로 완성된다.

It is love that is in the center of the world I see; the world without it is meaningless. Love cannot be seen or touched and yet is felt. Any type of love is expressed in form and color in my creation and completed as a work.
