Dong Yoon Park’s latest art work < Affectionate Things> shows a abstract expression style as a relief work of painting and casting method. Rectangular shape appeared in a plane structure seems to be an abstract painting of an object, which is an affectionate crystal. The artist paints missed object with his mind, and checks the past in memory with present ago. This latest change is an expression of the inner world to escape from persistence to the present and past.
박동윤(朴東潤)작가의 근작 <애정이 깃든 사물들(Affectionate Things)>은 회화와 캐스팅 기법의 릴리프 작업으로 추상표현 양식을 보여준다. 평면 구조에 나타난 사각의 형태는 사물의 추상화로 보이며, 제목만큼이나 정감이 가는 결정체들이다. 작가는 잊어버린 사물들을 마음으로 그리며, 기억의 과거를 현재의 자아로 확인하고 있다. 최근 이러한 변화는 현실과 과거의 집착에서 벗어나고자 하는 내면세계의 표현이다.
If the shape of square is memorized as a crystal, and identified as rational ego within the space of reason, the color of square is recognized as emotional ego rather than rational ego. The color of square presents emotional mood disappearing into the dark or shining like stars on the night sky. The screen brings warm feeling with various size, color and sentiment abstract expression of square.
사각의 형태가 결정체로 기억되고 사유의 공간에서 이성적 자아로 확인된다면, 사각의 색채는 이성보다 감성의 자아로 인식된다. 사각의 색채는 밤하늘의 별처럼 빛나거나 어둠 속에 사라지는 감상적 분위기를 연출한다. 화면은 다양한 크기와 다채로운 색채로 정감 있는 사각의 추상표현으로 따듯한 느낌을 준다.
Color surface of square directly delivers the emotion, which is consisted of mud yellow or achromatic color like single colored abstract, or original colors such as red, blue and yellow, etc, and various compositions. The artist does not insist a certain color for square but allow various compositions with original colors on an achromatic colored square like white and black. The color is widely applied for the expression of isolation of ego, solitude and vivid ego.
사각의 색면은 황토색이나 무채색으로 단색조 추상과 같은 구조를 갖거나, 빨강과 노랑, 파랑 등 원색의 색채로 감정을 직접적으로 전달한다. 서양화가 박동윤은 흰색과 검정 등 무채색의 사각과 원색의 다양한 구성으로 사각의 색채에 어느 하나만을 고집하지 않는다. 자아의 고립이나 고독함만이 아닌 생동감 넘치는 자아의 표현까지 색채는 폭 넓게 활용되고 있다.
Meanwhile, the color of square does not use conventional dyes but use pure colors using natural dyes such as green tea leaves, gardenia seed, Indian ink, etc. These colors of square is connected to identification of ego and stagnation problem which is a non-object sprit hidden in the spirit rather than physical materials. 한편 사각의 색채는 기존의 물감을 이용하지 않고 녹차 가루와 치자 물감, 먹물 등 자연 염료를 이용하여 순수 색채로 만들어진다. 이러한 사각의 색채는 물리적 질감보다 내부에 숨겨진 비 물질의 정신성, 즉 자아의 확인과 정체성 문제와 연결된다. 구체적으로 물질의 표면에서 사각의 색채는 여러 층을 만들어 나간다.
